Las Vegas Convention Center AV - West Hall Expansion

Total Show Technology provides Las Vegas Convention Center AV production support for some of the largest conferences and trade shows in the world.

Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall Expansion

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority debuted the Las Vegas Convention Center’s $1 billion, 1.4 million square foot West Hall expansion in June 2021. The addition of the West Hall increases the total square feet of meeting space at the Las Vegas Convention Center to 14 million square feet, making the Las Vegas Convention Center the second largest facility in the country.

“There is no better or safer place to come to have a convention than Las Vegas,” Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak said during the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Las Vegas is the number one trade show destination in North America. In 2019 (the most recent year data was captured), Las Vegas hosted 5 of the 10 biggest trade shows in the U.S.

Health and safety also remain a top priority throughout the Las Vegas Convention Center with a variety of Vegas Smart health and wellness guidelines in place to help keep visitors safe.

Vegas Convention Center AV Technology

The contemporary design of the West Hall expansion features an abundance of natural light, the largest digital experience in the U.S. convention and exhibitions industry, and 600,000 square feet of exhibition space. The exhibition space includes 328,000 square feet of column-free space, the largest column-free exhibition space in North America.

A 4.0mm pixel pitch LED video wall spans 10,000 square feet in the main atrium. It’s the largest digital experience in a convention center in the U.S. The facility also includes a cutting-edge signage network. A 14,000-square-foot terrace can hold receptions of up to 2,000 attendees, offering views of the Las Vegas Strip.

TST provides audio visual production support for CES, NAB, and many other large shows at the Las Vegas Convention Center, including shows in the West Hall expansion exhibition space. We collaborate closely with exhibitors to create trade show booths that draw attendees and keep them engaged. (This year, we also introduced Immersive LED Cubes, which are capturing attention across the trade show floor.)

Las Vegas Convention Center Loop

The $52.5 million Vegas Loop connects the Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall to the North and South Halls via two one-way underground tunnels. The Vegas Loop, built by Elon Musk’s The Boring Company, is designed to shuttle convention attendees in all-electric Tesla vehicles throughout the entire 200-acre Las Vegas Convention Center campus.

Plans have been announced to expand the Vegas Loop to offer a new transportation option for visitors as far north as downtown Las Vegas, throughout the Strip, and as far south as Allegiant Stadium.

All of us at TST are excited by these and other major developments here in Las Vegas. For more information on meetings, trade shows, conventions, and nightclub live events in Las Vegas, reach out!
