Special Event Experience: A Night of Entertainment, Event Tech, and Spectacle
Thousands of event professionals gathered at the industry’s largest conference and trade show, The Special Event, held from March 9-12. The Special Event experience is a premier destination to connect and collaborate with event planners, corporate planners, meeting planners, business owners, and caterers.
A highlight of the event was The Event Experience, an afterparty held on the evening of March 11 at The INDUSTRIAL Event Space. Hosted by Sktch Events and sponsored by industry leaders Total Show Technology (TST), Out of This World Event Productions, and Show and Design Group (SDG), The Event Experience engaged attendees with immersive activations and creative event tech ideas and trends.
Meeting professionals had the opportunity to see the newest experiential audio, video, lighting, and staging technology that is captivating attendees at 2020 events. Attendees at The Event Experience afterparty included meeting and event planners, producers, trades how exhibitors, stage exhibit builders, and others involved in the meetings and events industry. The jam-packed event was a must-visit destination, and attendees had the opportunity to see the latest event technology that can be integrated into general sessions, trade show booths, and experiential activations.

Event tech on display at The Event Experience included LED video walls, Christie projection mapping technology, Astera wireless lighting fixtures, Yamaha high-performance-powered loudspeakers, and Vari-Lite automated, variable-color, intelligent stage lighting systems.
